  DR Horton is now the builder in this community. They are a production builder, not a custom home builder, so mostly what it seems you get are cheaply made homes with cheap quality products built by following the absolute minimal adherence to the building codes of the area they're building in - they dont seem to go over and above the codes to build a better quality, safer, energy efficient home. Construction is often delayed by all kinds of things so never give much weight to their estimates as to when the property will be completed. When it is completed, good luck getting anyone to come and do the warranty repairs - I have been told it can literally take many months. I talked with several people who had homes built here and they all told me the same thing, often they gave up on having the warranty repairs done by DR Horton and hired their people to do the necessary work at their own expense. And everyone I spoke to said there was a list of things that needed to be done that they couldn't wait for DR Horton to do. Good luck to anyone having a house built in this community - you're going to need it. If you've had a good experience with them, I really would like to hear it - because so far, no one I spoke to had much good to say.
