  Dr. Patel has been cleaning my teeth for a decade. He really cares about his patients and here's how you can tell: he doesn't overbook and keep you waiting, he gives great suggestions about prevention, he and his staff are friendly, and he doesn't try to sell you on unnecessary procedures. For example, before I found him, I went for a simple cleaning to Coast Dental and here's what happened. They took a bunch of X-Rays, made me wait for about 90 minutes, refused to give me a simple cleaning, but rather tried to sell me on an expensive, multiple-visit "deep cleaning" program. I left and found Dr. Patel to be straight-forward, down-to-earth, and caring more about my health than about emptying my wallet. On top of all that, he works with the latest technology, is involved in cutting-edge research on prevention, and serves in developing-world dental clinics.
